Not all heroes wear capes and fancy costumes. In the same manner, not all heroes are found in traditional tales and educational textbooks. All it took to make this man a hero of many was an unquenchable ambition, a beard, and a motorcycle.

This local Santa has been on the road bringing joy all year round to people in places that have been overlooked but brought to light by the magic of his camera and kind gestures.

Mr. K. Amigosten Amoah, the founder of "On The Road Charity", has been making a difference in the lives of the less fortunate children, families and communities throughout Ghana.

With the little in his hands, he's been the light beacon to the less privileged by providing immediate and long term solutions to environmental and societal related problems in the rural areas.

These solutions come in diverse forms - bringing awareness of children with disabilities, Providing school uniforms , teaching/Learning materials as well as educating the youth on hygiene.

Mr. K Amigosten Amoah in his own little way has made the lives of many people better. He's 'the ladder to destiny fulfillment' for the desperate souls in these communities, who thought their dreams were far beyond reach and the 'distress call button' that brings help from the various corners of the country to the people that need it.

Mr. K. Amigosten Amoah - During one of his On the Road Tours

K Amigosten Amoah, due to his acts of random kindness was given the award SDLG Most Reliable Person in Africa in 2016. He was also honoured by the Council of Ewe Associations of North America.

He has proven that help no matter how small can help the lives of people in ways you least expect thereby inspiring us all to be the change we so desire in the world we live in. I am tempted day in and out to grab a motorcycle and join him (I'm sure you are too) but then I realize that we often overlook what goes on right under our noses.

We don't need to travel hundreds of miles to make a change - we can start right from our doorsteps to our communities: the people we see around us every day who need our help. Sometimes, we ourselves might not have what it takes to help such people but then we can connect them with the people who can help them. A friend in need is a friend indeed.

Who knows how many lives await nothing more but a little gesture of kindness to be pushed into full gear.
